Kaua’i Sacred Cave Tours visits Makauwahi Cave

Enjoy the opportunity to visit this unique and sacred power spot, outside of public visiting hours. Appreciate unhurried time to listen for the wisdoms of the ancestors and the unseen realms, and the ancient spirit of this island. Located along an undeveloped stretches of wild coastline, unsullied by modern activities, the cave exudes archaic knowledge.



This remote site requires a one-mile drive down a relatively rough unpaved road, followed by a 1/2 walk over uneven terrain through a native plant reserve. The cave entryway is only 3 feet high however, upon entering, you are in a large sinkhole open to the sky. The focus of our event takes place in the airy cave on the other side of the sinkhole.



Our meditation will begin with an invocation and sacred sound, including singing crystal bowls, followed by a period of silence. There will be an altar upon which you may place an item for the duration of the event, to take with you when we are complete. Afterwards we take time to share our insights before walking along the ocean’s edge to our vehicles.



Meet Your Guide



Your guide, Sequoya, is well versed in the cultural and natural history of this place (and its environs) and will share its background both on the walk and and within the cave itself, to help provide a foundation for your experience. She is deeply steeped in earth-honoring traditions and geomancy, connecting with earth energies, power spots and the unseen realms.

A student and practitioner of multiple cross-cultural modalities, as well as techniques born of her dedicated personal experience, Sequoya is adept at creating a vessel to support others in connecting with sacred space and guiding exploration of the metaphysical realms. She has worked in multiple capacities with the cave reserve since 2020.

Group tours meet Fridays mid-afternoon, by reservation only:

--10 people maximum

--minimum age 16 please use the contact form below to arrange for possible youth participation
--4 people minimum for event to run
--Fee: $75 per person*
*A generous donation is made on your behalf to the nonprofit organization managing the cave and surrounding native plant reserve.

Private tours, including days other than Friday, available upon request
Event takes approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

--No potable water on site

--Bathroom facilities are extremely limited

--Seating: bring a folding beach chair, pad, or towel

--Not handicapped accessible - walking and a bit of crawling are required
